First Steps with RsysConfig
Now, that you have a basic understanding of Spec-Driven Piping, let's get acquainted with RsysConfig.
First step, review the definitions page to be sure you understand the important terms associated with RsysConfig.
If you have existing master catalog and/or spec files to upload to the RsysConfig database, then you can skip to the page on uploading data.
If you are creating piping data from scratch, you have a few steps required before you can create specs and add pipes and fittings to them.
- Create the core elements needed to define the pipes, fittings, and insulations of the master catalog.
- Select the "SIZES" link on the left navigation pane and create the pipe sizes you will need.
- Select the "SCHEDULES" link on the left navigation pane and create the pipe schedules you will need.
- Select the "FITTING CATEGORIES" link on the left navigation pane and create the necessary fitting categories.
- Select the "END TYPES" link on the left navigation pane and create the necessary end types.
- Select the "MATERIALS" link on the left navigation pane and create the necessary materials.
- Select the "Pipe Dimensions" link on the left navigation pane and create the pipe dimensions required to define your pipes.
