Creating a Fitting
To add a new fitting to the database using RsysConfig,
- select the FITTINGS link on the left navigation pane.
- Select the "Add New Fitting" button.
- On the "Fitting Information" page, fill in the fields or select from drop-downs for
Fitting Name - Name by which the fitting is listed and the root of the .ptd or .csv filename
Fitting Selection Name - Name which shows up Creo in the "Insert Fitting" dialog when selecting the fitting
Fitting Code - Code which controls the behavior of Spec-Driven Piping when inserting the fitting model. For example, a corner can only used to join the ends of two angled pipe segments.
Fitting Category - Used to link the fitting to the proper selection icon in the "Insert Fitting" dialog.
Fitting Material - In the example shown, PVC is selected. Only materials designated as "fitting materials" will appear in the drop-down. If a new materials is needed, select the "+" icon to create one. The fitting can be saved without selecting a material.
Unit System - Default unit system for the fitting
- Select "Save" and the new fitting is created.
