The AutoCabling button can be found when an assembly is open and the Cabling module is activated. You will see see the "Convert Logical Data" in the CadActive Cabling ribbon of Creo (shown below).
Under Tools->Create Sub-Assembly, users can automatically create a sub-assembly and a harness part based on an entered name.
Within the AutoCabling GUI there are two tabs: "From File" and "Diagnostics".
Diagnostics
Spool Directory: The spool directory reads the default value of the setting pro_spool_dir in the config.pro. To change this, you can either edit the config.pro setting (should usually be a Windchill directory where spool files are manged) or select the "Change Cabling Directory" button.
Template Harness: TBD
Template Harness (Flat): TBD
From File
Select Harness: Select which Harness Part you'd like your spools and simple routes to be created in.
Select Harness: Select the CSV input file you'd like to read into Creo (use the format shown in wires.csv attached at bottom).
Once the preview matches your model, you can select OK.
To confirm everything was properly read, you will see "File containing PTC Neutral wire list has been read successfully." in the message log.
Once the input file is read in, you can select the "Route Cables", retrieve the wires/cables and start routing!
