Pipes
Author pipe families and instances in the CadActive web app — sizes, schedules, ends, and stock data for spec-driven piping.
A pipe in a CadActive piping catalog is a family of linestocks: one material and shape, with instances for each size and schedule you allow. Specs pick those instances; Creo uses them when a spec is active.
You author pipes in the CadActive web app. Designers consume them in Creo after Sync Piping Catalog. You need a Piping license and Admin or Collaborator access. Author Sizes, Schedules, End Types, and Materials first so instances have values to pick.
Where you manage pipes
Sign in to the CadActive web app.
Open Piping in the sidebar.
Under Piping Catalog, select Pipes.
The list shows pipe families: Name, instance count, Cross Section Shape, Line Type, and Material. Open a family to work with its instances. You can show archived families from the page header.
Pipe family properties
Create or edit a family from the Pipes list. Cross Section Shape is set when you create the family and cannot be changed later.

Maximum Number of Bends | Optional bend-count ceiling. |
Give min segment, max segment, and max overall length real values. Empty values export as zero and can prevent pipeline features from creating in Creo.

Pipe instances
Open a family to add instances. Each instance is one size and schedule you can assign to a spec.

Bends, miters, machines, and springbacks
On a family row you can open:
Manage Bends — bend records for instances in the family.
Manage Bend Machines — bend-machine records.
Manage Bend Springbacks — springback records.
Manage Miters — miter records.
Author those after the instances exist. They travel with the catalog into specs and Creo.
Create, copy, archive, import
Create, edit, copy, or delete families from the Pipes list. Delete is permanent.
Archive a family you no longer want in new work. Use Show archived to find it again.
Download the list as CSV, or import families and instances from CSV. Use Download CSV template in the import dialog, fill it, and upload. Collaborators and Admins can import.
How pipes relate to catalogs and specs
Pipes belong to your organization catalog. A piping spec includes only the pipe instances you assign to it. A project then groups those specs. See Piping Catalogs for the catalog and core-element setup, and Implementing Piping Catalogs for the catalog → spec → project order.
After you save, run Sync Piping Catalog in Creo and confirm the family in Piping Catalog Explorer on the Catalog tab.
