Spec-Driven Piping Configuration Settings

Creo config.pro options for spec-driven piping, and which ones CadActive sets when you sync the catalog or select a project.

Creo Spec-Driven Piping reads catalog and project files from paths in config.pro. CadActive authors those files in the web app and downloads them with Sync Piping Catalog. After they are on disk, CadActive can point the session at the right folders so you do not have to type every path by hand.

You need a Piping license. Changing the piping directory in Sync Piping Catalog is Admin or Collaborator only. Selecting a project is available to licensed piping users who have downloaded spec projects.

Let CadActive set the paths

Download the master catalog and spec projects with Sync Piping Catalog.
If you need a different on-disk location, Admins and Collaborators can change the piping directory CadActive writes into (same command).
When you set that directory, CadActive points Creo at the catalog files under it (and at a fitting library folder if a fittinglib subdirectory exists there).
Run Select Piping Project. CadActive points Creo at that project’s spec, fitting-category map, and insulation directory files.

Copy the resulting paths into your organization’s config.pro with Creo’s Configuration Manager if every seat should launch with the same locations.

Options CadActive sets for the catalog

These update when you set the piping catalog directory.

Options CadActive sets for the active project

These update when you select a piping project.

Configuration option	What it points at
`piping_project_data_dir`	The selected project folder.
`piping_spec_dir_file`	Specification directory file in that project.
`piping_fitt_category_map_file`	Fitting category map for that project.
`piping_insulation_dir_file`	Insulation directory file for that project.

Fitting library path

piping_fitt_library_dir is the folder of fitting Creo models. CadActive sets it only if a fittinglib subdirectory exists under the piping directory you chose. Most organizations set this option themselves so it points at the Windchill (or network) library where fitting models actually live.

Spec-driven design method

piping_design_method is Creo’s piping design method (spec_driven, non_spec_driven, or user_driven). CadActive default for an unset value is user-driven.

Other Creo options you may still set

These are Creo piping options. CadActive does not write them when you sync or select a project. Set them in config.pro if your process needs them.
