Overview

There are multiple different options for resetting a password in the CadActive application. This article will walk through the steps for carrying out each method.

TABLE OF CONTENTS

  • Using the "Forgot Password?" link within Creo Parametric
  • Using the "Forgot your password?" link within the web application
  • Having an Administrator force a password reset on an account

There is a link to reset your password from inside of the CadActive Login interface in Creo Parametric. In order to access it, navigate to the CadActive tab in the ribbon and select Log In.

Inside of the CadActive Login interface, click the Forgot Password? link

This link leads to a web page where a user can enter their email address and request a password reset.

As long as the provided email address is associated with a CadActive account, then an email will be sent out with a link to reset the user's password.

Another link to reset your password can be found on the landing page of the CadActive web application: app.cadactive.com.

Just below the Log In button, you will find the Forgot your password? link.

This link leads to the same password reset webpage as shown above. From that point on, the process for resetting a password follows the same steps as in the above section.

Having an Administrator force a password reset on an account

The two options discussed to this point are ways that a user can request a password reset on their own. There is also an option for an administrator within the organization to force a password reset for a user.

First, an administrator must log in to the web application (app.cadactive.com). After doing so, there is an option to Manage Organization in the bottom-left corner of the page.

Selecting the Manage Organization option allows an administrator to complete many different tasks including changing the status (or permissions) of user's accounts, changing what licenses are available to each user, inviting new users to join the organization, disabling user accounts that are no longer active, or forcing a reset password for a particular user. In order to do so, locate the user's account and click on the pencil icon as shown below.

Now, you will see several actions that can be completed on the user's account. Selecting Reset Password will send an email to the user with a link to reset their password.
