ECAD Catalogs

Edit organization ECAD catalogs in the web app: name, description, unit system, and default.

ECAD Catalogs are organization records in the CadActive web app. Each catalog has a name, description, unit system, and a default marker. Collaborators with an ECAD license can edit those fields. The table is view-only without that license.

Catalogs do not stock socket, fastener, or inlay part numbers. In Creo, ECAD Board Sockets, ECAD Board Fasteners, and ECAD Board Inlay pick models from the session. See ECAD Board Setup.

Admin / CAD manager

Web app — ECAD → Configuration → Catalogs

Edit catalog name, description, and unit system. Confirm which catalog is default.

Creo — CadActive ECAD group

Set up the board with session models. Catalogs do not replace those pickers.

Open Catalogs

  1. In the web app, open ECAD.

  2. Under Configuration, select Catalogs.

The page title is Catalogs. The table lists Default, Name, Description, and Unit System. Filter Name or Description from the column menu.

Edit a catalog

  1. Select the edit control on the row. Without collaborate permission and an ECAD license, the column shows View Only.

  2. In Edit '<name>', set:

    • Name (required) — letters, numbers, spaces, period, underscore, or hyphen; up to 31 characters.

    • Description — optional.

    • Unit System — an organization unit system, or clear the selection.

  3. Select Save.

The web app does not offer create or delete on this page. Organizations typically keep one catalog and mark it default (star in the Default column).

Model Events

Under ECAD → Activity → Model Events, the organization can review ECAD operations recorded against models. That list is an activity log, not a catalog editor.

Settings

Organization admins change Zero-Height Detection Depth and Zero-Height Zone Depth under Organization → Settings (ECAD tab). Full list: Settings for ECAD.
