Framework Catalogs
View and edit organization Framework catalogs in the CadActive web app.
A Framework catalog is the named AFX catalog record for your organization. It stores the catalog name, description, unit system, and which catalog is the default. The structural profiles themselves live in Profile Libraries — this page is the catalog list, not the profile geometry.
You need a Framework module license. Collaborators and admins can edit catalogs. Engineers apply the catalog in Creo with Sync Framework Data.
Catalogs vs profile libraries
Record | Where | What it stores |
|---|---|---|
Catalog | Framework → Catalogs | The organization catalog: name, description, unit system, default flag. |
Profile library | Framework → Profile Libraries | Folders of AFX profiles (name, folder, sizes, parameters, tables) that Sync writes as |
CadActive does not replace Creo Advanced Framework Extension (AFX). After you sync, Creo AFX consumes the downloaded files.
Open Catalogs
Sign in to the CadActive web app.
In the left navigation, open Framework.
Under Catalogs, select Catalogs.
The header shows how many catalogs you have, for example: Showing 1 Catalog Total. If none exist, the table shows: No catalogs found.
Columns:
Default — a star marks the default catalog for the organization.
Name — unnamed rows show (Unnamed Catalog).
Description
Unit System — the assigned unit system, or -- if none is set.
You can filter Name and Description from the column menus.
Edit a catalog
Collaborators with Framework can edit. Other roles see View Only on the row.
Select the edit control on a row. The dialog title is Edit 'name'.
Change Name (required), optional Description, and optional Unit System.
Select Save, or Cancel.
Names may use letters, numbers, spaces, periods, underscores, and hyphens, up to 31 characters.
noteThe Catalogs list does not include a create control. If your organization has no catalog yet, contact CadActive or your implementation team — do not expect an Add New button on this page.

After you edit
Changing a catalog in the web app does not push files into Creo by itself. Someone with access must run Sync Framework Data in Creo (or the Framework command line) so seats pick up sel_list.txt and profile .tab files from the libraries.
