Spool Bulk Items From Catalog
Create real Creo spools in the current assembly from a Creo Schematics catalog folder (.dt, .art, .mm).
Spool Bulk Items From Catalog creates real Creo spools in the current assembly from a Creo Schematics catalog. Command help: Create real Creo spools in the current assembly from a Creo Schematics catalog (.dt / .art / .mm).
You need a Cabling license and a CadActive server session. Open a cabling assembly (or harness) first. For a folder of Creo spool files instead, use Spool Bulk Items From Folder (.spl).
What the catalog folder must contain
Pick the root of a Creo Schematics catalog. CadActive searches that folder and its subfolders for:
.dt— datatables.art— artifacts.mm— member maps
It uses datasets that map to wire or cable spools (WIRE_SPOOL / CABLE_SPOOL). Other catalog object types are ignored. Unsupported extensions are not read.
Run Spool Bulk Items From Catalog
Open the cabling assembly that should receive the spools.
In the CadActive ribbon, Cabling group, select Spool Bulk Items From Catalog.
In the folder dialog titled Select Creo Schematics catalog folder, pick the catalog root.
Check the potential spools to create, then confirm.
CadActive creates the selected spools in the assembly. On Creo 12 it also materializes native spool bulk parts. Bulk-item names follow Settings for Cabling.
If the folder has no matching catalog files, CadActive reports that it expected .dt / .art / .mm files with WIRE_SPOOL or CABLE_SPOOL datasets.
