Parameter Profiles

Bundle Standardize Parameters into named Parameter Profiles, set per-profile overrides, and attach a profile to a Model Template.

A Parameter Profile is a named bundle of catalog Parameters, with optional per-profile overrides. Create the catalog rows first, then add them here. Attach the profile to a Model Template, or pick it when you run a parameter report.

Open Parameter Profiles

  1. Sign in to the CadActive web app.

  2. In the left navigation, open Standardize.

  3. Under Model Metadata, select Parameter Profiles.

The list shows each profile’s name and how many Parameters it contains. You can filter, export the list to CSV, and toggle whether archived profiles appear.

Create, copy, archive, or delete

  • Create — set a Name and save. Membership is empty until you open the profile and add Parameters.

  • Rename — the list edit dialog changes the name only. Add or remove Parameters on the profile page.

  • Copy — creates a new profile from an existing one, including membership and overrides, so you can vary a site or template without starting from scratch.

  • Archive hides the profile from the normal list. Unarchive to bring it back. An archived profile is read-only until you unarchive it.

  • Delete permanently removes the profile. Confirm carefully — this cannot be undone. Catalog Parameters are not deleted.

Add Parameters and set overrides

  1. Open the profile (the list action that goes to the profile page).

  2. Select Add Parameters. Multi-select unused catalog Parameters and add them. Parameters already on this profile do not appear in that dialog.

  3. Edit a membership row to set overrides:

    1. Default Value — override for this profile, or leave blank to inherit the catalog default.

    2. Locked — lock the Creo parameter when it is applied.

    3. Designated — Windchill designate for this parameter. This is not Designator.

    4. Force Default, Create if Missing, and (list type only) Allow Outside List — Yes, No, or Inherit from Parameter.

  4. Remove a membership row to take that Parameter off this profile. The catalog Parameter remains.

You need Standardize collaborate permission to edit. Archived profiles are read-only.

Attach to a Model Template

On the template in the web app (Standardize → Model Details → Templates), choose:

  • Model Parameter Profile — parameters on the model. Apply Model Template uses this slot.

  • Component Parameter Profile — parameters in component context. Hidden on drawing templates.

The same Parameter Profile can fill either slot. Details: Define Model Templates.

Import and export

When you run Model Parameter Report or Component Parameter Report, By Parameter Profile limits columns to this bundle. By Model Template uses the template’s matching slot (model vs component). Full report how-tos come later; the short version is on Parameter Management.
