Enabling a Proxy Server

Some customers pass their network communications through a proxy server.

By default, CadActive points to our servers without a need for a proxy, however, if a proxy is required for your network configuration, here are some details to get started.

We've created a "proxy file" to help configure the CadActive application to use the desired configuration settings

--- CadActive Proxy File ---

An example proxy file can be downloaded here

--- Set Up the Proxy File ---

For every user that will need the proxy set up, please navigate to the user's LocalAppData directory. If you are unfamiliar with the LocalAppData directory, you can navigate to it by entering the following into your windows file explorer

%LocalAppData%\CadActive

NOTE - This should automatically expand out to
C:\Users\<USERNAME>\AppData\Local\CadActiv
e

From here, you can use your favorite text-editor to modify the file
For most use cases - the only two settings that you should need to change are PROXY_URL and PROXY_PORT

As always, please feel free to get in touch if you have any issues!
