Overview

Auto Export is a powerful tool that allows you to automatically generate various CAD derivatives and reports from your Creo models. It streamlines the process of creating multiple export formats and generating reports in a single operation.

Features

3D Export Formats

Auto Export supports generating various 3D model formats from your Creo models. When working with drawings, the tool automatically identifies and exports the associated 3D model.

Report Generation

The tool includes comprehensive reporting capabilities:

  • Multiple reports can be generated simultaneously

  • Reports are automatically configured to run without user prompts

  • Progress indicators are disabled for streamlined batch processing

  • Reports can be saved and reused for future exports

Using Auto Export

Basic Operation

1. Select your model in Creo

2. Launch Auto Export

  1. Choose your desired export formats from the list

4. Select the reports you want to generate

  1. Click "Execute" to generate all selected outputs, or "Save" to store your selections for later use

Output Location

All exports and reports are generated to a specified output directory. If no directory is specified, the tool will use the current working directory.

Working with Drawings

When using Auto Export with drawings:

  • The tool automatically identifies the associated 3D models

  • If multiple solid models are referenced in the drawing, the first solid model will be used for exports

  • If no solid models are found, the export will not proceed

Interface Options

Main Controls

  • Export List: Select which CAD derivatives to generate

  • Reports List: Choose which reports to include

  • Execute: Generate all selected outputs immediately

  • Save: Store your current selection of exports and reports

  • Cancel: Exit without making changes

Best Practices

  1. Verify your model is correctly loaded before running exports

  2. Ensure you have write permissions to the output directory

  3. Save frequently used export combinations for repeated use

  4. Monitor the operation logs for any potential errors during export
