Edit the CadActive ribbon tab

Change which CadActive commands appear on the Creo ribbon and save them as cadactive.rbn.

You can change which CadActive icons show on the Creo ribbon, and how they are grouped, without changing the client install.

Customize the ribbon

  1. In Creo, right-click the ribbon and select Customize the Ribbon.

  2. On the left, confirm Customize Ribbon is selected.

  3. In the command list dropdown, select TOOLKIT Commands.

  4. Add CadActive commands to the groups and order you want on the CadActive tab (or another tab).

  5. When you are finished, select Import/Export → Save Auxiliary Ribbon File, then select the CadActive application.

Creo writes a file named toolkitribbon.ui here:

If you installed to a custom location, that text folder is next to your cadactive.dat instead.

Save it as cadactive.rbn

  1. Rename toolkitribbon.ui to cadactive.rbn.

  2. Copy cadactive.rbn into the ribbon subdirectory under that same text folder.

Restart Creo and confirm the CadActive tab matches what you saved.

If you reinstall or replace cadactive-creo from a new zip, copy your cadactive.rbn back into text\ribbon so the layout is not lost.
