Download the Creo Parametric client

Download the CadActive Creo Parametric client zip that matches your Creo datecode from the web app.

The CadActive desktop client is a plugin that runs inside PTC Creo Parametric. Download the zip that matches your Creo datecode (for example 11.0.2.0), not just “Creo 11.” After you have the zip, follow Install the Creo client.

Before you start

  • You are signed in to the CadActive web app at app.cadactive.com.

  • You know the Creo datecode on the workstation. In Creo, open Help → About, or ask your CAD admin. CadActive builds a separate client for each supported datecode.

  • Creo Parametric is already installed. If Creo itself will not launch, start with PTC Support — that is not a CadActive issue.

Open Client Downloads

Anyone in the organization can download a client.

  1. Sign in and land on the dashboard.

  2. Find the Download Plugin card (“Download the desktop plugin to get started with CadActive.”).

  3. Select Download. That opens Client Downloads.

Organization admins can also go to Organization → Client Downloads in the left navigation.

Choose the right row

The Client Downloads table lists every CadActive build available to your organization for Creo Parametric. Columns are Creo Version (the full datecode), Creo Major, CadActive Version, Channel (Production or Staging), Size, and Updated.

  1. Set the application dropdown to Creo Parametric.

  2. Find the Creo Version that matches your datecode exactly (for example 11.0.2.0, not a nearby 11.0.0.0 or 12.4.2.0). Creo Major is only a convenience column (7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13).

  3. Use the latest Production CadActive version for that datecode unless CadActive has asked you to validate a Staging build. Staging rows appear only if CadActive has enabled staging for your organization. Most customers should stay on Production (green). Staging is orange.

  4. The table defaults to the latest CadActive version per channel. To pick an older CadActive version, filter a column (Creo Version, CadActive Version, or Channel) — filtering searches the full catalog, not just the latest rows.

  5. Select the blue download button on that row. The site gives you a short-lived download link. Save the zip to the Creo workstation promptly; do not bookmark the link as a permanent URL.

What you get

The zip contains a versioned folder (for example v2.11.7.1) with:

  • a bin folder

  • a text folder

  • a cadactive.dat registry file

Next: unzip and register that client with Creo. See Install the Creo client.

If something goes wrong

  • No row for your datecode — confirm Help → About in Creo, then email support@cadactive.com.

  • Download link expired — select Download again from the table; links are short-lived on purpose.

  • Wrong channel — use Production unless CadActive asked you to use Staging.
