Start the CadActive application manually
Register and start CadActive from Creo Auxiliary Applications when it does not load from config.pro.
If CadActive does not start when Creo opens, config.pro is usually missing the creotkdat line. You can still start CadActive for this session from Auxiliary Applications, then fix config.pro so it loads next time. See Install the Creo client.
Command-line / no-graphics jobs cannot use Auxiliary Applications. Those runs must load CadActive from config.pro at startup. See Creo Parametric Command Line.
Start CadActive in the current session
In Creo, go to Home → Utilities → Auxiliary Applications.
Select Register….
In the address bar of the register window, type
$localappdataand press Enter.Open the CadActive folder.
With the launcher: open cadactive-launcher and select
cadactive.dat.Without the launcher: open cadactive-creo and select
cadactive.dat.
If you do not see a CadActive folder, the client is not installed yet. Download and install it first.
In the Auxiliary Applications list, select CadActive Launcher (or CadActive if you installed without the launcher) and select Start.
Status should change from Not Running to Running. A CadActive tab appears on the Creo ribbon. If you use the launcher, you will also see a second CadActive application listed as Running after the launcher starts the versioned client.
Then add the creotkdat line to config.pro so you do not have to register by hand every session.
