Manage Config Profiles
Create and edit organization config profiles and mapkeys in the CadActive web app.
CAD admins maintain config profiles in the CadActive web app: list, create, edit option values, copy, archive, and associate mapkeys. Engineers apply a profile in Creo with Set Config Profile — this page is the web side. See Config Profiles for what a profile contains.
Open Config Profiles
Sign in to the CadActive web app.
In the left navigation, open Synchronize.
Select Config Profiles.
The list shows each profile’s name, how many config options it stores, and how many mapkeys are associated. You can filter by name, export the list to CSV, and toggle whether archived profiles appear.
Create or edit a profile
Create a new profile, or select the edit action on an existing row.
Set the Profile Name. Names must be unique in your organization.
Use the Settings sidebar. Categories match Creo’s native configuration editor. Current Profile lists only options that already have a value on this profile.
Search by setting name or description. After you change a value from Creo’s default and save, that option is in the profile (the count on the category shows how many).
Save.
If your organization already has a large config.pro, upload it from Creo first (Set Config Profile → Upload), then refine values here. That is faster than typing hundreds of options by hand.
Copy, archive, and delete
Copy creates a new profile from an existing one so you can vary a site or project without starting from scratch.
Archive hides the profile from the normal Creo Desired Profile list. Unarchive to bring it back.
Delete permanently removes the profile. Confirm carefully — this cannot be undone.
Associate mapkeys
Mapkeys are not stored as a blob inside the profile. They live in a shared organization library. A profile points at the mapkeys it should deploy.
From the Config Profiles list, open mapkeys for that profile.
Search and select the mapkeys that belong with this environment.
Save. Those mapkeys are included the next time someone Sets the profile in Creo.
Mapkeys library
To create or edit the mapkeys themselves (keystroke, name, description, action text):
Synchronize → Mapkeys.
Create, edit, or delete organization mapkeys.
Associate them to profiles from the Config Profiles list as above.
Action text is stored without mapkey (continued) prefixes. Several profiles can share the same mapkey.
