Sign in to CadActive in Creo Schematics

Sign in to CadActive from Creo Schematics by copying an authentication token from the web page and pasting it in the plugin.

After CadActive is installed, each user signs in from the Creo Schematics ribbon by copying an authentication token from the CadActive web app and pasting it into Schematics.

This is not the Creo Parametric Creo License Token card on the dashboard, and it is not config.pro / creotkdat sign-in. Those steps are only for CadActive for Creo Parametric.

You need a CadActive user in your organization. See Getting Started and Understand your CadActive licenses.

Before you start

  1. In Creo Schematics, open the CadActive tab and select Log In.

  2. If you are already signed in, CadActive tells you the current user. Select Log Out first if you need to switch users.

  3. CadActive shows the server name and explains the next steps, then opens your browser to the client authentication page (/auth/sessions/client on your CadActive app URL).

  4. Sign in on the web page if you are prompted, then copy the authentication token displayed there.

  5. Return to Creo Schematics. In Enter Authentication Token, paste the token and confirm.

On success, CadActive shows your email (and user name). Log In turns off; Log Out and commands such as Import/Export Design Data become available.

If the token is empty, CadActive cancels login. If the token is incomplete or invalid, it asks you to copy the full token and try again.

Stay signed in

CadActive stores the session on this workstation after a successful paste. The next time you start Creo Schematics and use a CadActive command, it restores that session when the token is still valid. You do not paste a new token every launch.

If the stored token is expired or invalid, CadActive clears it and you sign in again with Log In.

Sign out

On the CadActive tab, select Log Out. That clears the stored session on this workstation and restores Log In.

If sign-in fails

  • Confirm you copied the entire token, with no extra spaces before or after (CadActive trims whitespace, but a partial copy will fail).

  • Confirm the browser opened the CadActive site for your organization, not a bookmark for a different environment.

  • Confirm CLIENT_CLASSPATH is set and the CadActive tab commands run. A classpath miss often shows ClassNotFoundException: cadactive.CadActive instead of the login dialogs.

  • Do not paste a Creo Parametric license token from the web dashboard Creo License Token card. Use the token shown on the page Schematics opened.
