Model Feature CSYS Report

Export or import named coordinate systems on the current part or assembly, including an optional group.

The Model Feature CSYS Report lists named coordinate-system features on parts and assemblies. Use it to record where those coordinate systems sit, move them from a spreadsheet, or put them in a Creo group.

When to run it

Run it when coordinate systems need to match a released layout, or when you want to regroup them from a file. The default coordinate system and unnamed coordinate systems are left out.

Generate a Report. CadActive asks Import vs Export. The current model must be a part or an assembly.

Check this report in Auto Export, then Run Exports. See Auto Export.

The file is CSV. Location follows Settings for Reporting.

Columns

Export writes every column. On import, MODEL_NAME, MODEL_TYPE, and GROUP_NAME may be left out.

Column

What it shows

CSYS_NAME

Coordinate-system feature name.

MODEL_NAME

Model that owns the coordinate system. On import, which model to update. A blank cell uses the model you started from.

MODEL_TYPE

PART or ASSEMBLY. On import, PRT and ASM are also accepted.

GROUP_NAME

Creo group for this coordinate system. See below.

ORIGIN_X, ORIGIN_Y, ORIGIN_Z

Origin of the coordinate system in the model.

X_X through Z_Z

Direction of each axis in the model.

Groups

  • A name in GROUP_NAME puts that coordinate system in that group.

  • A blank GROUP_NAME cell takes that coordinate system out of the group. It is moved so it sits after the group and is not a member.

  • If the file has no GROUP_NAME column, imported coordinate systems are not placed in a group.

Import updates coordinate systems that already exist, creates names that do not, and rebuilds each named group.
