Note Profiles

Bundle Standardize Notes into named Note Profiles, then attach a profile to a Model Template.

A Note Profile is a named template of Note Blocks. Create catalog Notes first (including note contents), then group them into blocks on the profile. Attach one profile to a Model Template. Many templates can share the same profile.

Open Note Profiles

  1. Sign in to the CadActive web app.

  2. In the left navigation, open Standardize.

  3. Under Model Details, select Note Profiles.

The list shows each profile’s name and how many Note Blocks it contains. You can filter, export the list to CSV, and toggle whether archived profiles appear. Select a row to open the profile editor.

Create, copy, archive, or delete

  • Create — set a Name (2–1024 characters, unique in the organization) and save. Blocks are empty until you open the profile.

  • Rename — the list edit dialog changes the name only. Add or edit blocks on the profile page.

  • Copy — creates a new profile from an existing one, including its blocks and membership, so you can vary a site or template without starting from scratch.

  • Archive hides the profile from the normal list. Unarchive to bring it back. An archived profile is read-only until you unarchive it. Archived profiles are disabled in the Model Template Note Profile picker.

  • Delete permanently removes the profile. Confirm carefully — this cannot be undone. Catalog Notes are not deleted.

You need Standardize collaborate permission to edit.

Open the profile

The profile page title is the profile name. The subtitle is how many Note Blocks it has (for example, 3 Note Blocks). Create, edit, lock, and populate blocks there — that is Creating Note Blocks.

Attach to a Model Template

On the template in the web app (Standardize → Model Details → Templates), under Model Details, choose Note Profile.

Parts, assemblies, and drawings all have this slot. Apply Model Template and Note Builder both use it. Details: Define Model Templates.
