Fitting Manager

Set spec-driven fitting data on a Creo fitting model and upload it to the piping catalog.

Fitting Manager writes CadActive piping parameters onto a fitting model and, when you choose, uploads that fitting into the organization catalog. Command help: Set/Upload Data for a Fitting.

You need a Piping license and an Admin or Collaborator role. The User role cannot open this command. The current model must be a solid (part).

Open Fitting Manager

  1. Open the fitting part in Creo.

  2. On the CadActive ribbon, select Fitting Manager.

Set fitting data

  1. Choose fitting code, sizes, and end types for each port. Port identification follows Settings for Piping (Force Piping Feature Names and the PORT0 / PORT1 / PORT2 names).

  2. Set flow constrained when the fitting has a required flow direction.

  3. If the model is a family table, the instance table is visible and you can edit per-instance sizes and end types.

  4. Select Apply to write parameters onto the model. Until you apply, Upload stays disabled.

Upload to the catalog

  1. After Apply succeeds, select the control that adds the fitting to the piping database.

  2. Confirm family and instance fields (selection name, stock number, material, bolt-nut code).

  3. Save. The fitting then appears under Piping → Fittings in the web app and in Piping Catalog Explorer after the next sync.

Admins (and CadActive staff) can also create a trimmed elbow from an elbow fitting when that option is shown.

note

This page is the Creo command for setting and uploading fitting data. Dedicated articles for olet fittings, non-spec-driven fittings, and insulation libraries are separate tasks and are not covered here.
