Piping Catalog Explorer
Browse and search the synced piping catalog, projects, and pipeline configurations in Creo.
Piping Catalog Explorer is the Creo browser for the CadActive piping library. Command help: Browse and Search the Piping Catalog.
You need a Piping license and a CadActive server session. The explorer shows what is already on disk after Sync Piping Catalog — it does not download the catalog itself.
Open Piping Catalog Explorer
In Creo, open the CadActive ribbon.
In the Piping group, select Piping Catalog Explorer.
The dialog has three tabs.
Tab | What you see |

Catalog | Pipes, fittings, and insulations from the master catalog. |
Projects & Specs | Projects and the specs (pipes and fittings) in each project. |
Pipeline Configurations | Approved pipeline configurations from the organization database. |
Browse and filter
Select a tab.
Expand the tree to families and instances.
Select Filter to narrow by size and end type. Filters that only apply to fittings hide the Pipes node.
Act on a selected item
With a catalog model selected you can:
Open model — open the fitting or pipe model in Creo.
Assemble model — assemble it into the current assembly when that is valid.
Open in dashboard — open the matching record in the CadActive web app.
Open file — open the catalog file on disk.
The Tools menu also launches Sync Piping Catalog and Select Piping Project without closing the explorer.
