Hardware Manager

Evaluate and assemble bolts, nuts, and related hardware on fittings in a piping assembly.

Hardware Manager on the Piping ribbon places bolts, nuts, washers, and similar hardware on fittings in a piping assembly, using the bolt-nut records in the piping catalog. Command help: Manage hardware components in a piping assembly.

This is not the CadActive Hardware product. Hardware Manager here only serves piping fittings.

You need a Piping license and an assembly as the current model.

Open Hardware Manager

  1. Open the piping assembly in Creo.

  2. On the CadActive ribbon, select Hardware Manager.

  3. When prompted, pick a fitting component. CadActive evaluates hardware rules for that component and assembles matching hardware.

Related ribbon commands:

  • Hardware Manager - Evaluate Assembly — evaluate and assemble hardware for the desired assembly.

  • Hardware Manager - Evaluate Component — evaluate and assemble hardware for the desired component.

What it uses

  • Bolt-nut families from Piping → Bolt Nuts in the web app, including the bolt-nut code on each fitting family.

  • Organization hardware rules (bolt type, washer type, flange-clamp, O-ring, and related part numbers) loaded with the piping configuration.

If hardware does not appear, confirm the fitting has a bolt-nut code, the catalog is synced, and you selected a fitting CadActive recognizes — not an arbitrary assembly component.
