Select Piping Project

Activate a piping spec project so Creo Spec-Driven Piping uses that project’s specs.

Select Piping Project activates one downloaded spec project for the Creo session. Command help: Activate a desired Piping Project.

You need a Piping license. Spec projects must already be on disk — download them with Sync Piping Catalog (spec projects or all) before you open this command.

Open Select Piping Project

  1. In Creo, open the CadActive ribbon.

  2. In the Piping group, select Select Piping Project.

The same command is on the Tools menu in Piping Catalog Explorer.

Activate a project

  1. Use the project list to pick a spec project. The path field shows the folder on disk.

  2. If the list is empty, no spec projects were found. Sync spec projects, then reopen the dialog.

  3. Select the button that applies the project. CadActive points Creo Spec-Driven Piping at that project’s files.

The project that is already active from the session configuration is pre-selected when the dialog opens.

After you activate

  • Piping Catalog ExplorerProjects & Specs shows that project’s specs, pipes, and fittings.

  • Piping Model Builder shows the current project and lists specs from it.

  • Routing and fitting placement use the active project’s spec-driven files, not the whole organization catalog.

Projects themselves are authored in the web app. See Piping Specs and Projects.
